It's that time of the year again! Soup making has begun. I really enjoy making soups because they are so easy to make/eat, they are satisfying and go with really anything. You can have it as a snack, main meal or side dish.
Yesterday Camera man and I only left our home for a couple hours. We cooked and hung out with two of our favorite people ALL DAY! It was an unexpected treat. And we had a blast.
I searched the web to find what I felt were the top 3 easy to make and healthy holiday recipes for you to bring to your next holiday party!
I have never tested nor tried these recipes but I am planning on making the Quinoa Pizza Bites tonight, with a few changes. Have a healthy and happy holiday! Let me know which ones you make and how it goes!
1/2 - 3/4 cup Organic Old Fashioned Oats (Country Choice Trader Joes) 1/4 - 3/4 cup Vanilla Almond Milk ( Almond Breeze Trader Joes)
1 cup Water
2 generous tbs Protein Powder ( MET-Rx Pr0tein Plus Trader Joes)
1/2 organic Pink Lady Apple ( chopped)
Cinnamon to taste
1.mix oats, protein powder and cinnamon
2. add water and mix
3. microwave for 2 minutes
4. Take out and mix. Add chopped apples.
5. microwave for 2 more minutes and mix
If you like your oatmeal thicker add more oats. If you prefer your oatmeal soupier add more almond milk or water . Have fun with this recipe. I really never do it the same twice. Add a different fruit? Put more almond milk? Different flavor protein powder? Enjoy and keep dancing!
