How To Make Your Own Salad Dressing

This is an EVOO, LIME, and MUSTARD dressing. If it is too tart sometimes I will add a drop of honey.

The best salad dressings are always homemade. They are less expensive than store bought, and you have control with what is in it. No funky- chemical ingredients allowed.

Here is a simple formula to follow in order to make awesome dressing:

55-60% oils

  • EVOO
  • coconut
  • sesame 
  • avocado
  • walnut oil

25-30% acids

  • balsamic vinegar
  • sherry vinegar
  • white wine vinegar
  • rice vinegar
  • lemon juice
  • lime juice
  • fresh squeezed orange juice (really!)

10% other flavors 

  • honey
  • jam
  • ginger
  • soy
  • tahini
  • basil
  • mint
  • parsley
  • rosemary
